Two Great Drive Events in One!

We know that for many of you, Oregon is a long way to travel for just a few days of Ferrari fun. So, the Northwest Region decided to extend our event to give you an option of a full 7-day experience, to make your trip even more worthwhile!

The FCA2023 AE will be a Driving Extravaganza like no other!

Part 1: FCA2023 Annual Experience

Enjoy 4 full days of FCA activities with a unique Northwest flavor including all the competitive and leisure elements that the AE is known for: the presentation of the Concours d’ elegance, gorgeous pleasure drives and excursions, competitive rally, the traditional Mercato, exciting track time, and lots of fabulous dining and socializing!

Part 2: Drive Oregon 2023

Stay an additional 2-3 nights and enjoy more spectacular roads and viewing scenery of the central Oregon High Desert and Mountains or, head over to Willamette Valley for 2 nights to explore some of Oregon’s best wineries. Choose to stay at the AE host hotel, Riverhouse on the Deschutes, or drive over to Silvies Valley Ranch Resort, or one of the suggested hotels in the Willamette Valley.

PART ONE: FCA2023 ANNUAL EXPERIENCE

August 27^th – 30^th, 2023

Celebrating Ferrari’s Return to Prototype Sportscar Racing

From 1963, with the advent of the 250P, until 1973 and the 312 PB, Ferrari was a dominant marque at the top level of sportscar racing. These Maranello-built prototypes, arguably the most beautiful racers of all time, won the World Sportscar Championship five times during this era. After 50 years of being absent from the top tier of sports car racing Ferrari is back with the LMH racer – vying once again for overall wins at LeMans, in the coveted Hypercar class of the WEC. The first race for the new Ferrari 499P will be at the ‘1000 Miles of Sebring’ in Florida on March 17, 2023.

Be sure to arrive by Sunday, August 27th to meet old friends and make new ones at the newly renovated Riverhouse on the Deschutes located in beautiful Bend, Oregon. Our host hotel is built on both sides of the Deschutes River and is located in the high desert of Central Oregon. Bend has plenty of fine dining, microbreweries, and shopping. The Grand Opening Reception, along with seminars and the fully staffed Mercato will keep you busy through the afternoon and evening.

 

Monday, August 28th the Ferrari Club of America Field and Driving Concours will be staged on the manicured green grass at the home estate of FCA members Brianna and Eric Cadwell.  The 2023 Ferrari Concours may be the first time our international Concours has been held on a FCA members’ front lawn! This unique location is only six miles from the Riverhouse. The Coppa Bella Macchina judging will be held on the same lawn. A lovely Concours Lunch will be served under the trees adjacent to the lawn and lake, with a classic jazz band filling the air.  

Monday evening, we will have A Night at the Museum! The High Desert Museum will be open exclusively for our group for dinner and music.

Tuesday and Wednesday, August 29th/30th, the FCA2023 Track Event will be at the Oregon Raceway Park, located in Grass Valley, Oregon. This is a private track used by many car clubs in the Northwest. ORP is a 2.3 mile dedicated road course, with 16 turns, 400 feet of vertical elevation change and one turn with 16 degrees of bank.

Tuesday, August 29th there will be Hagerty Pleasure Drives to your choice of four destinations:

• Crater Lake, one of the natural wonders of the world. It is the deepest lake in America, at 1,949 feet and the clearest lake in the world.
• Painted Hills of Oregon with breathtaking vistas.
• Dee Wright Observatory, where you will view the volcanic fields of central Oregon.
• Or drive to Oregon Raceway Park for parade laps and lunch. The roads going to, and coming from ORP, are beautiful and fun to drive.

Having four separate drives will allow for smaller groups of cars and a better experience.

Wednesday, August 30th there will be more optional drives to choose from:

• Enter the Hagerty Competitive Rally driving through the Powell Butte area trying to find all the clues to get you and your navigator back to Riverhouse at the correct time.
• Or just drive the Rally route as a relaxed pleasure drive.
• Go to Smith Rock State Park, where you can take a brisk walk among the top rock-climbing spots in the world.
• Or join the High Desert Excursion, to the Lava Lands National Monument with a stop at the High Desert Museum. Buses will leave the resort at 8:30 am. You’ll have Lunch and a Private Wine Tasting in Bend at the Old Saint Francis School.

Any of these choices will get you back to the Riverhouse by mid-afternoon, in time to take in a presentation from our very special guest, Ferrari driver, five-times LeMans winner, and twice World Sportscar Champion, Derek Bell MBE. 

Wednesday evening we will celebrate with the Gala Awards Banquet and Reception held at the Riverhouse Convention Center.

PART TWO: DRIVE OREGON 2023

August 31^st – September 2^nd, 2023

To heighten the experience for the largest number of FCA members, Drive Oregon 2023 will offer the choice of three top-rated Oregon locations to use as your base, while exploring more of what Oregon has to offer:

• Riverhouse on the Deschutes, where you will have just enjoyed the Annual Experience you can stay an additional 2 nights.
• Silvies Valley Ranch Resort in Seneca, Oregon, about a 2 ½ hour drive east of the Riverhouse, to stay 3 nights.
• Head to the heart of the Willamette Valley Wine Region and stay in one of our recommended resorts or hotels.

During your stay at Silvies, you will enjoy delicious food, social and outdoor activities, as well as multiple world-class drives.  Both the Riverhouse and Silvies will have Northwest Region FCA group leaders to help you discover spectacular Central Oregon. For every drive from either location, the size of each driving group will be limited so there will be a real feeling of camaraderie.

Members choosing Willamette Valley can select from five different recommended accommodations. You will be given daily, detailed, self-drive instructions, including recommended wineries, along with specific lunch and dinner destinations for each day so you can meet up with fellow FCA members.

Note: Drive Oregon 2023 nights, August 31- September 1-2, will be spent at one of the Riverhouse, Silvies Valley Ranch, or your chosen hotel in Willamette Valley. Your choice will be made when you register for FCA2023 and then Drive Oregon 2023.
