Upgrade Your Collector Vehicle’s Audio & Technology While Preserving Its Value

How to Upgrade Your Collector Vehicle’s Audio & Technology While Preserving Its Value.

A common thought process is “I can’t upgrade the audio or technology in my vehicle as it will negatively affect the value.” The reality is you CAN often do an upgrade as long as the shop makes no permanent modifications to the vehicle.

How to Safely Upgrade Your Sound and Other Technologies

Quality shops can use harness adapters and custom mounts that allow better radios, speakers, and amplifiers to be installed using original mounting points and electrical connections.

So, now you can have technologies like CarPlay and Android Auto along with better sound quality. Adding a rear facing and even front facing camera can often be integrated as well. High-End shops will often have 3D-printers and laser CNC machines in-house to make the needed mounts. Add in the quality technicians that are well versed in automotive electrical systems, including CAN-Bus and A2B networks on newer vehicles.

So don’t be afraid to take your 1969 Camaro or 2018 GT3 to a quality shop. With that being said, you may have to travel to find someone well versed in your particular vehicle. We like to think of this as having your cake and eating it too.
