SUMMARY:SCCA Volunteers wanted for Corvettes at Carlisle 2023
DESCRIPTION:Corvettes at Carlisle\, at the Carlisle PA Fairgrounds\, is the largest all-Corvette-themed car show in the world. Join enthusiasts and over 5\,000 of America’s classic sports car\, the Corvette\, for an event with fun\, family\, great food\, and more! Corvettes at Carlisle also welcomes Team Chevrolet and their amazing staff of Corvette engineers. See the latest and greatest rides from Corvette\, talk with the minds behind the machines\, participate in competitions\, or head into downtown Carlisle for the Saturday evening Corvette Parade and Street Party.\nThe fairgrounds will be packed and offer a huge automotive flea market with a wide variety of vendors\, an all-Corvette car corral\, and more. \nWe have an opportunity to participate in raising awareness of the SCCA and our profile along with a couple of other local regions in our area. WDC Region SCCA encourages anyone interested to participate. It’s an amazing gathering with cars\, events\, resources\, people\, and lots of Corvettes! SCCA volunteers will have free gate entry/access. \nOver 30\,000 enthusiasts attend this event\, and the WDCR SCCA sees this as a great way to attract new members! Corbettes ar Carlise is on August 24\, 25\, and 26 this year from 7 am to 6 pm. Volunteer shifts will be broken down from 7 am to noon and noon to 6 pm. We are looking for volunteers to engage with attendees and talk about all things SCCA! DESCRIPTION:Our 2024-2026 Board of Directors election is underway and will be concluded at the Annual Meeting. Online voting at MotorsportReg.com (MSR) is going on now and ends Monday\, October 9th at 11:59 pm. If you miss the cutoff to vote in MSR\, you can come to the Annual General Meeting and request a paper ballot.\n \nBiographies of candidates running can be found here. There are three positions for election to the Board this year\, and you may vote for up to three candidates. Candidates are listed on the ballot in member number order\, per our bylaws.\n \nPlease note that you must be a Washington DC Region member to vote in this election.
