SUMMARY:Steel Cities Region SCCA - Track Sprint (Summit Point)
DESCRIPTION:Steel Cities Region SCCA is hosting a Track Sprint event on the Shenandoah Circuit at Summit Point Motorsports Park on September 2-3\, 2023. The Fall Shenandoah Event is the 7th event in the 8-event Pennsylvania Hillclimb Association Championship series. \n \nIn addition to cars running in the regular PHA classes\, cars running in the Time Trial National classes are invited to participate in this event. Note that Summit Point Motorsports Park does not allow Electric Vehicles or EV Hybrids to compete on the track.\n \nThis event is run in a Track Sprint format. Pit Out (and the start line) is between turns 2 and 3\, and the Finish Line is just past the “Ram Site” crossover after turn 20. The pit out is at turn 21. This course is essentially the same as we’d run in the Time Attack format\, except for the last turn — the crossover at “Old Ram” just before Turn 3 is eliminated.\n \nThe track will be open around 6 PM on Fri night\, and camping is allowed Fri and Sat night. The Shenandoah Circuit offers a large camping/pit area\, complete with electrical hookups at most sites\, shower facilities\, and gas pumps (race and regular).  There are also plenty of hotels nearby in either Charlestown or Winchester.\n \nMore information can be found here:\n \nShenandoah Course:  https://pahillclimb.org/about/the-courses/shenandoah/\n \nPHA Rules:  https://pahillclimb.org/rules/\n \nSCCA National Rules:   https://timetrials.scca.com/\n \nIn addition to cars running in the regular PHA classes\, cars running in the Time Trial National classes are invited to participate in this event. SUMMARY:HOD Returns to Pittsburg International Raceway
DESCRIPTION:HOD Returns to Pittsburg International Raceway\nAfter a couple year hiatus we are back at PITT RACE !!!\nMonday and Tuesday September 4th and 5th 2023 \nJoin us as we return to this amazing gem of a facility!!! \nTimeframes for advancement is an observed recommendation. Each driver develops at a different rate. Drivers will be evaluated by a check-ride for promotion to next run group.  Many drivers run in different run groups at different tracks based on their experience at that track\, for example\, you may be a C level driver at WGI but a B level driver at VIR because of experience at that track. \nGroup A Novice (includes 1 on 1 Coach) This group is for novice drivers with little or no experience. It will include a dedicated coach for the entire day\, multiple classroom sessions and about two hours on-track in their car with a coach. Passing in this group is limited to designated passing zones with a mandatory point-by per car. We observe that drivers advance to A-Solo at different rates.  Anyone with minimal or no track experience and has not been signed off to run in a solo run group should register for A Novice.   \nGroup A Solo (includes a Coach for 1 session) If you have either completed the HOD A-Novice program and been approved to run in A-Solo or has been signed off for solo elsewhere (Please Email Ken prior if you are registering based on another groups solo sign off). In this group drivers work with a coach at least one on-track session. Classroom attendance is highly recommended\, but not required. Passing in this group is limited to designated passing zones with a mandatory point-by per car. Check-ride is required to move to Group B.  \nGroup B Intermediate (Solo) Drivers in this group are at the intermediate level. We provide group coaching by our Group Leader. Passing in this group is limited to straights with a mandatory point-by per car. A check-ride is required to move to Group C. \nGroup C Advanced (Solo) This is the advanced group with Point-By Passing. Passing in this group can occur anywhere\, in straights and in corners\, where it can be completed safely. A point-by is required per pass and per car.  \nGroup D- (Unrestricted Passing) This is an invitation only\, open passing group. Passing in this group can occur anywhere it makes sense\, no contesting corners\, and point-bys are not required (although many drivers still use point-bys). Please register for group C and email KenE@hookedondriving.com with your experience and driving resume for approval.  Upon approval you will be moved into Group D. IF there is not enough interest for a full group D run group\, all group D registrations will run in Group C under Group C rules. \nAny questions on what run group to place yourself in please Email KenE@hookedondriving.com \nWe run rain or shine. \nImportant Times \n\n– 7:15am Registration check in starts.\n– 8:15am All hands drivers meeting.\n– 9:00am First car on track!!! Orientation Laps\n\nBring minimum Snell SA2015 helmet if you do not have one reserved (Snell M motorcycle helmets are not acceptable for on-track use) \nConvertible owners – Ensure that a straight-edge placed from the top of the windshield to the roll protection does NOT touch your helmet when seated in your car.  \nPlease email Mona@hookedondriving.com with any questions.   \n\n  \n\n\nPitt Race Monday Sept 4 2023 REG – 09-04-2023\nGroup A Novice (includes Coach) – $375.00 – AVAILABLE\nGroup A Solo (Previous Sign off Required – $325.00 – AVAILABLE\nGroup B Intermediate (Solo) – $325.00 – AVAILABLE\nGroup C Advanced (Point-by required) – $325.00 – AVAILABLE\nGroup D Advanced Solo (Unrestricted) – $325.00 – AVAILABLE\nStaff / Group Leaders – AVAILABLE\nCoaches – AVAILABLE \n\n\nPitt Race Tuesday Sept 5 2023 REG – 09-05-2023\nGroup A Novice (Includes Coach) – $375.00 – AVAILABLE\nGroup A Solo (Previous Sign off Required – $325.00 – AVAILABLE\nGroup B Intermediate Solo – $325.00 – AVAILABLE\nGroup C Advanced (Point-by required) – $325.00 – AVAILABLE\nGroup D Advanced Solo (Unrestricted) – $325.00 – AVAILABLE\nStaff / Group Leaders – AVAILABLE\nCoaches – AVAILABLE
