SUMMARY:Colonial Challenge Cup (Trackday)
DESCRIPTION:CCC Track Day is a charity event organized by the Colonial Challenge Cup Inc\, a 501 (c) (3)\, and provides the opportunity for you to bring your car to a racetrack and learn your real capabilities as a driver in a controlled environment under the tutelage of experienced instructors. You may think that you are a good driver; but by the end of the day\, you will know the real truth! Without the restrictions of everyday traffic and standard road obstacles like the police\, Sunday drivers and mini-vans\, you will drive your own car (or a rental track car) on a racetrack for four twenty minute sessions with other drivers of similar experience. SUMMARY:Audi Club Driver’s Clinic & Sunday DE + Show
DESCRIPTION:Welcome to the Audi Club’s annual High Performance Driver’s Clinic (HPDC) and a single day High-Performance Driving Event (HPDE)! Both the HPDC and HPDE will be held on Summit Point’s Jefferson Circuit and should be lots of fun! You may choose to attend either or both days. You don’t need to own an Audi to drive with us. \nSaturday Clinic\nThe event is focused on beginners/novice student participants who are starting to get engaged in track events or those who want to improve their driving skills for the daily commute. \nThis annual PCC-ACNA clinic is an instructional event tailored to the needs of members with no previous driving experience beyond the “normal” daily commute and driver’s ed classes. The clinic provides a safe controlled environment to learn and practice advanced defensive driving techniques and car control through a combination of classroom and on-track exercises. \nFor anyone who wishes to enhance their driving knowledge and enjoy a safer road experience through improved skills\, confidence and understanding\, this event is designed for that purpose.  It provides the ideal start for those who may want to progress and participate in our two-day Drivers’ Education (DE) events. ABSOLUTELY NO PRIOR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED and there will be plenty of patient instructors to help guide you through the day. \nOver the past fifteen plus years\, we have developed an outstanding program that puts beginners and novices at ease and offers valuable instruction even for those who have recently started doing Drivers’ Education events. The morning is classroom and car-control exercises including a wet skidpad\, braking\, and slalom. The afternoon finishes off the event by applying what was learned in the morning with on-track driving. \nSunday HPDE\nThis event is open to all run groups/skill levels (4-Green\, 3-Yellow\, 2-Blue\, 1-Black\, 0-Red) and includes classroom sessions for most non-advanced run groups. We aim to have four run sessions per group with a lot of track time\, top-notch instructors\, and an abundance of fun! \nThis event is an instructed event and only in-car instruction is available (with proper safety precautions). Please ensure you are comfortable with this before signing up as an instructor or an instructed student. \nSunday Car Show\nNo membership required and completely free! Show off your Audi or VW at the track during our car show. Car show participants are welcome to stay all day and hang out with friends. Voting will be held from 10am – 1pm for People’s Choice Awards. All car show participants will also be invited to drive on track behind a pace car during lunch. \n\n\n\n \n\n\nEvent requirements\n\nYou must be 16 years old and a fully licensed driver to participate in this event. Spots are limited. \nTeens 16 or 17 years old\, holding a full\, valid driver’s license (not provisional or learners permit) may participate in PCC-ACNA driving schools WITH a parent/legal guardian signing the Minor Release and Waiver of Liability and Indemnity Agreement (https://member.audiclubna.org/event-master-forms) at the start of the event and witnessed by an Event Official. \nVEHICLE NOTE: You do not need to drive an Audi to participate in this event. Convertibles are only permitted IF approved safety equipment is installed. High center-of-gravity vehicles (e.g.\, SUVs\, CUVs\, etc.) are also restricted. Additional details\, including pre-approved makes/models\, are provided in the Driver School Event Rules. Open wheeled cars are not eligible to participate. \nSaturday Clinic\nThe Clinic does not require a pre-event tech inspection but we will perform a tech inspection on site to make sure your car is in safe condition. Be sure to wear long pants\, a long-sleeve shirt and closed toe shoes. We will provide helmets when they’re needed. \nNo special tires or brakes or other car modifications are required.  Learn more about your car just as it sits! Simply make sure the existing tires and brakes and other mechanical equipment are in good condition. You should have had your brake fluid replaced in the last 2 years. \nActive Audi Club North America (ACNA) membership is not required for this portion of the event. \nSunday HPDE\nActive Audi Club North America (ACNA) membership is required for this portion of the event. If you are not a member\, or your membership expires prior to the start of the event\, you will not be able to register. Please visit audiclubna.org/join to join or renew. If you are a new member\, you will receive an email with credentials to login to your account and retrieve your member number (you can also use the Audi Club app).
