June 19\, 2022 is not only Fathers’ Day\, it is the 47th Sully Antique Car Show\, which is jointly sponsored by the Fairfax County Park Authority and the George Washington Chapter Model A Ford Club. The show is to be held 10:00 am – 3:30 pm at the Sully Historic Site\, at 3650 Historic Sully Way\, Chantilly\, VA 20151.\nBring your old car to show (pre-1997) for $10 (if pre-registered by June 15) and you will have a good chance for a trophy\, because there are thirty show classes with 1st\, 2nd\, and 3rd place trophies\, as well as trophies for Best in Show and another for the favorite of the Sully Staff. Or\, just bring yourself and your family to enjoy the show where you will see approximately 350 classic and antique cars\, a Car Corral\, special displays including Hit ‘n Miss engines and a “take-apart Model T Ford\, a flea market\, a selection of food vendors\, a kids’ tent with amusements including free coloring books\, live music from two bands\, and a Century Parade featuring cars at least 100 years old. Tours of the first floor of the historic house are included with the price of admission\, which is $12 for adults\, $10 for seniors and $8 for children. Trophies will be awarded to the winners at 3:00 pm.\nFor further details\, including an application to show your car\, have a stall at the Flea Market and/or to feature your car for sale at the Car Corral. DESCRIPTION:The Car Parade will cruise around the Brooke Grove Retirement Village campus twice beginning at 2:00pm. Please line up along Poplar View Lane\, which is the first left after you enter the campus in Sandy Spring\, MD. \nThe Car Show will immediately follow at Brooke Grove’s Westbrooke Clubhouse (18310 Slade School Road). The Car Show will feature live music by the Swing Time Big Band and frozen treats from a Good Humor Ice Cream Truck! REGISTRATION IS LIVE!\nTighten up that belt buckle\, folks…Holley’s LS Fest is headed to the Texas Motor Speedway this June! Holley’s LS Fest shows have been wildly popular ever since the first one was held at Beech Bend\, Kentucky back in 2010. From those early shows at Beech Bend\, the crowds have become bigger and bigger. The show has spilled over into the nearby NCM Motorsports Park\, giving autocrossers and racers a second playground. In 2017\, a second LS Fest sprang up in Las Vegas and in addition to everything fans had come to love about the original\, the dirt racing facilities that Las Vegas Motor Speedway offered up brought a new facet to the show. There’s always been a demand for more\, and it only made sense to bring the next chapter of LS Fest to Texas. \nEach LS Fest event has their own flavor\, and for LS Fest Texas\, it will be the night life. Holley is starting the event later in the day to beat the Texas heat and each segment will continue after dark. The drag racing will take place on Texas Motor Speedway’s Pit Road and will be a true no-prep 1/8th mile drag race\, which will fit the night time vibe perfectly. Additionally\, the drifting\, dyno challenge\, show-n-shine\, autocross\, burnout contests and more will continue into the night as well.\n  \n“The LS engine is no stranger to the great state of Texas”\, stated Blane Burnett\, Holley’s Events Manager. “With numerous high-profile engine builders\, performance shops and LS enthusiasts located throughout the area\, we’ve felt that Texas needed an LS Fest of its own for quite some time. We’re thrilled to see that happen this year and can’t wait to see the variety of LS-powered machines and their owners that come out ready to get down at Texas Motor Speedway!” \nIf you have an LS or current Gen LT based V8 engine powering your ride or if you are considering a swap to LS or LT power\, this is your event! Race cars\, drift cars\, street rods\, rat rods\, muscle cars\, trucks\, late models…if they are powered by an LS or current LT engine\, they’re welcome to party at LS Fest Texas!
