DESCRIPTION:For an amazing track experience\, join us at VIR:  \n\n\n\nWelcome to our annual Fall VIR event at the legendary Virginia International Raceway sponsored by Toyo Tires\, New German Performance (NGP)\, and Audi Silver Spring. This event serves as a season-closer for many folks and always promises lots of fun and good weather. Running the Full Course circuit we will use our standard format of four student run groups that drive four sessions per day of about 25 minutes each. Take some time off of work\, give yourself a nice getaway and come drive with us! Get your fix in before the winter. \nThis event is an instructed event and only in-car instruction is available (with proper safety precautions). Please ensure you are comfortable with this before signing up as an instructor or an instructed student. \n\n\n\nEvent requirements\n\n\n\nBEFORE registering\, please review PCC’s DRIVER SCHOOL EVENT RULES.\nThere is information there for students\, instructors\, instructors who are interested in instructing with us for the first time\, and refunds/cancelations. \nActive Audi Club North America (ACNA) membership is required to participate in this event. If you are not a member\, or your membership expires prior to the start of the event\, you will not be able to register. Please visit audiclubna.org/join to join or renew. If you are a new member\, you will receive an email with credentials to login to your account and retrieve your member number (you can also use the Audi Club app). Once you have your member number\, please follow these instructions to add it to your profile. \nVEHICLE NOTE: You do not need to drive an Audi to participate in this event. Convertibles are only permitted IF approved safety equipment is installed. High center-of-gravity vehicles (e.g.\, SUVs\, CUVs\, etc.) are also restricted. Please forward this email to anyone you know who is on active duty or a veteran and would like to attend a FREE Track Day (HPDE) as our way of supporting our military and saying “thanks” for serving.\nJoin us for the “Helmets Off To Heroes” HPDE event on Sunday\, November 6th\, on Summit Point’s Shenandoah Circuit.\nThis event is specifically for active duty Vets with NO prior track experience!\n \nThis event is open to active duty military or any veteran for FREE! You do not need prior experience\, and we will provide you with an Instructor in your vehicle. We ask that you come prepared with your military ID or other proof of service to the event. Priority will be given to active duty or Veterans that have never driven on the track.\n \nThis is an all-day event with basic performance driving drills in the morning\, followed by track time and skid pad time for the rest of the day! The event consists of classroom training\, Skidpad\, braking exercises\, Slalom\, and track time with instructors. Non-modified street cars are the perfect car for this event! It will be limited to thirty-five veterans and/or active duty military in their cars and will be an all-day event. DESCRIPTION:To thank our Veterans and Active Duty military\, the Washington DC Region SCCA is announcing our annual “Helmets Off To Heroes 2023” free High Performance Driving Event\, November 11th on the Summit Point Shenandoah Circuit\, located at Summit Point WV. \nThis free event is for Veterans and Active Duty military\, to participate as a driver please bring your military ID or other proof of service to the event. \nHelmets Off To Heroes is an all day event to give Veterans and Active Duty military an enjoyable experience at the track and learn basic high performance car skills at a comfortable pace. Non-modified street cars are the perfect car for this event! All experience levels are welcome this year (from those that have never been on track to experienced drivers\, we have a driving group for you). Any driver with no or minimal track experience will have a licensed SCCA performance-driving instructor in-car with them to make the day fun and safe and customized to the driver’s goals. \nOnline registration is required and opens at 5pm\, 25 Sept:  \nhttp://msreg.com/HOTH-2023 \nDetailed event information is provided during registration and the week prior to the event.
